Dave Simon brings nearly three decades of distinguished experience as Chief Drilling Operations Officer, carrying forward a rich legacy as a third-generation drilling industry professional. His extensive career encompasses both domestic and international operations, where he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing complex drilling projects and large teams across multiple continents.

With roots deeply embedded in the drilling industry, Dave has built an impressive portfolio of operational expertise across thirteen U.S. states and international locations including the West Coast of Africa, Oman, and Abu Dhabi. His career began in 1989 with Well Tech Inc., where he managed complex operations on wells ranging from 8,000 to 25,000 feet, including workover operations, side track operations, and open hole drilling.

As Senior Drilling Supervisor with ExxonMobil, Dave managed diverse drilling projects including jack-up operations, platform rig operations, and multi-well pad SIMOPS operations. His expertise expanded to include air drilling applications, extended reach drilling, and deep hydrocarbon & water exploration across multiple regions. For over sixteen years, he led the Midland Division of Total Energy Services, providing comprehensive consulting, engineering, and project management services to major operating companies.

Throughout his career, Dave has maintained a strong focus on technical innovation and operational efficiency. His expertise spans specialized areas including MPD systems implementation, peer review processes, and cost analysis for regional performance evaluations. His experience with wells ranging from 6,000 to 18,500 feet TVD demonstrates his capability to manage projects of varying complexity and scale.
